I used Tend to check my insurance before booking, and it did end up working, but it wasn’t as smooth as I hoped. The verification took a bit longer than I expected, and at first I wasn’t totally sure if it had actually gone through. I ended up reaching out to support just to double check. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it was a little frustrating in the moment. I’d feel a lot better about the process if the status updates were clearer.

"Kind of regret going here"
The staff was fine, nothing really bad there, but I left feeling like I should’ve picked a different place. The office just didn’t seem very clean, with dusty floors and some trash sitting around in the waiting area. It made me uncomfortable the whole time I was there, and afterward I definitely had that feeling of regretting my choice...

I liked that the prices were clear from the start, so I knew exactly what to expect. Because everything was easy to understand, there were no surprise costs later

"Felt rushed and a bit talked down to"
I left the appointment feeling uncomfortable. The dentist seemed like they were in a hurry the whole time, and even little things stood out to me, like barely making eye contact and rushing through explanations while still holding the tools. When I asked a simple question, the answer came across kind of condescending, like I should have already known. Maybe it was just a busy day, but the whole visit felt unprofessional to me.

I reached out to ask about getting accommodations for anxiety, but the whole process felt confusing and not very helpful. What made it worse was having to keep verifying myself over and over, which just added to the stress. I left feeling disappointed and like I didn’t really get the support I was hoping for.

I’ve been using Tend mostly for appointment reminders, and it’s been really helpful. The messages show up at just the right time without feeling spammy or annoying. I’ve definitely missed fewer appointments since I started using it, which is exactly what I needed. It’s simple, works well, and I’ll keep using it.

"Wish I Had Pushed Back on the Extras"
Booking was easy and the staff were genuinely nice, but I do regret not being firmer when they kept bringing up the extras. It felt a little pushier than I expected, and I left wishing the whole experience had been a bit more relaxed.

"Helped my back, but not quite what I expected"
I tried hellotend for some lower back pain that kept flaring up. Booking was easy enough, and the advice I got was practical and not too over the top, which I appreciated. That said, I did feel a bit misled by how straightforward it seemed like the whole process would be. It ended up taking longer than I expected to actually feel sorted. Still, it did help me manage the pain better in the end, so I’d probably use it again.

"Good care, just a bit of a wait"
I had a good experience overall. The dentist explained everything in a normal, easy way and didn’t make it feel awkward. The cleaning felt thorough and not rushed, which I really appreciated. I did end up waiting a little longer than I expected, so that was the only downside. Still, I was happy with the care and would probably tell a friend to check them out.

I ended up choosing Tend mainly because the location is really convenient for me. It’s close to my office and easy enough to reach by train, so I didn’t have to rearrange my entire day just to make it to a dental appointment.
I’m giving 4 stars because the waiting area was a little crowded when I visited. That said, the overall experience was straightforward, efficient, and low-stress, which was exactly what I needed after work.

"I never heard back from them"
I reached out to them twice and never got any kind of reply, which was frustrating. I wasn’t expecting an instant response or anything, but after sending a message the first time and then following up again, I figured I’d at least hear something back. It just felt like my messages were ignored, so I can’t really speak to their service beyond the fact that I never actually got a chance to use it.

"Procedure info was confusing"
I was trying to figure out what the procedure would actually involve, but the info was vague. I had to read it over a few times and still didn’t really know what to expect. whoever runs this needs to make the steps clearer, especially for people who are already feeling nervous going in.

Booking the appointment wasn’t terrible, I was able to find a time that worked for me. But trying to change it later was kind of a hassle. It’s just frustrating when you need something on short notice and there barely seem to be any open slots. Overall, it’s fine, but the scheduling could definitely be smoother

The staff was okay, but I didn’t feel very comfortable during the appointment. The chair felt awkward, and I was tense most of the time, which made the whole visit unpleasant. I came in expecting to feel taken care of, but instead I left feeling unsure and a bit disappointed. It kind of made me lose trust, so I’m not sure I’d go back

"Got in, but the wait felt unnecessary"
They did have an emergency slot open, which I appreciated, but I still ended up waiting quite a while. It wasn’t a terrible experience, just felt like an unnecessary delay when I was already there for something urgent.

"Felt really comfortable asking questions"
The dentist was really easy to talk to and took the time to explain everything clearly. From their calm tone, I got the feeling they genuinely wanted me to understand what was going on, not just rush through the appointment. They answered all my questions and made the whole visit feel a lot less stressful.

"Booking Took Way More Patience Than It Should Have"
I tried booking online and it was kind of annoying. The pages were loading so slowly that I had to just sit there and wait like I had all day. Then after I finally checked out, my appointment time changed, which was really frustrating after being forced to be patient through the whole process

My appointment got cancelled, and when I tried to reschedule, the available times just kept changing. It really felt like I was getting the runaround, and I ended up wasting time trying to plan around it. I’m not happy with how the whole thing was handled.
